The 2012 Dominion Christmas parade will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. The 29th annual event will depart from the Science Museum on West Broad Street and continue east until ending on Seventh Street. Last year’s parade event attracted more than 100,000 spectators from all over Virginia, with thousands more watching a live television broadcast.
The parade will feature a very special Grand Marshal, holiday floats, marching bands, huge helium balloons and Santa. The parade kicks off the traditional Christmas season in and around metropolitan Richmond.
This year’s parade is planned to be the most celebrated event ever and will create a fun and exciting day for one and all.
The Parade is broadcast LIVE on WTVR-CBS 6 the day of the parade from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and rebroadcast on Christmas Day.
Dominion’s Christmas Parade is a registered and recognized 501(3)(c) non-profit organization.
